Triple-spotted Clay (Xestia ditrapezium)

Post by stevehind »

Triple-spotted Clay (Xestia ditrapezium):

This was a new addition to the 10km square SJ98, when the attached visited my garden trap on 1st August 2011. Also new to my Higher Poynton garden this week was the Orange Swift (Hepialus sylvina). I've been expecting the latter for several years as I've caught it nearby at Jacksons Brickworks on a number of occasions.

Regards,

Steve

I saw this for the first time in Shocklach this year as well. Apologies for my finger at the top of the picture.
