Help please - I thought the macro might be a sallow of some sort.

Yup, I'd agree with a Sallow, the Sallow in this case, the form with the reduced markings. We've only had Centre-barred from this group so far this year.
Your micro looks like a battered Mompha propinquella hanging on at the end of its flight season. This was new for us this year - ours had a bit of colour left in it - they're stunning little moths. But hoping for a really fresh one at some point that likes being photo'd.
