Surprise early sighting.

Made an unsuccessful attempt at finding Emperor moth around the moorland above Staley Brushes this p.m., but did find a Mother Shipton which, looking at previous records for the county, appears to be the first ever for April. Night mothing might be a bit slow, but looking for day-fliers might be a better bet!! Also saw at least 3 common heath.
