We trapped this last night and think it is a Toadflax Brocade
....are we correct?

Looks like it to me having looked at Uk Moths and Nature Spot and there doesn't seem to be a similar species but I am not an expert. It would be interesting to know as it is Red Data Book 3!

Looks good to me!
From the Cheshire Annual Report for 2020:
"Persisting in its stronghold of the Willaston-Wistaston-Shavington triangle was 73.059 Toadflax Brocade Calophasia lunula, a further nine records being added to the database from May to August, the same as the total number recorded prior to 2020. The first Cheshire record was at Shavington in May 2018".

Many thanks as that is a lifer for us and we live in Wistaston Green on the edge of thr "triangle"
