Best Night of the Year

Post by A_Neal »

I've been in Wales for the past week so last night was my first trap for a while. 75 moths of 34 species was the best total I've had this year.

NFY were - Poplar Hawk-Moth, Clouded Bordered-Brindle, Setaceous Hebrew Character, Marbled Minor agg, Sycamore, Mottled Rustic, Foxglove Pug, Tinea trinotella, Epinotia bilunana, Scalloped Hazel and a Common White Wave.

Also there was 2 NFG - White Ermine and Notocelia cynosbatella. I believe these 2 moths take the list for the garden up to 299 since August 2019. Hopefully I'll reach 300 in the next few days.
