Is this Orthotaenia undulana?

Post by JohnD »

Caught this rather lovely micro on 6-6-21, but neglected to take a side-shot. From above it is has a very distinctive pattern. I've had trouble matching it with the side images in Sterling & Parsons and not quite convinced by the dorsal images I've seen on some online sites. Be grateful for confirmation/alternatives.

Hi John

Celypha lacunana. This species is frequently disturbed during the day.

Thanks Steve. Ironic I was bemoaning the lack of a side shot when there is a dorsal image as well as side views in Sterling and Parsons! I'm pretty sure I would not have identified it from the book though! Very grateful for your help.
