Post by shearwater »

Hi All
Had three of these in the trap this morning, got pictures of two. Thinking thyre Marbled Green Nyctobrya muralis. Would be grateful for your opinions.
Cheers

I agree Rob and what a find, although three is rather greedy, however our only previous record was of two, so maybe they don't like to travel alone.
Maybe the three indicates a local colony. Do let us know if you catch any more.

Steve

Hi Steve
Thanks for the confirmation, i didnt realise how rare the moth is in Cheshire until after I'd let them go, thats the reason for the rather tentati e enquiry. As we all know you never know quite whats going to turn up when the trap goes out!!
Cheers
Rob
