Moth Spreadsheet Guidelines 2

Here are some tips about dates.

2. "Dates" guidelines
Make sure your dates are correct. It’s very easy to make a typo and record a date from two centuries ago!

By convention, if you light up your trap at dusk and see the moths in the morning, your record should be dated the night you set up the trap, not the following morning.

Sometimes you can find your spreadsheet has “autofilled” a sequence when you meant to just copy the same value. Perhaps you want a date 22/03/2021 to be pasted into four cells, but it actually enters 22/03/2021, 23/03/2021, 24/03/2021, 25/03/2021 etc., by mistake.

Please try to send me your spreadsheets from October if you have finished for the year, or by early January at the latest. Send to d.j.maddy@btinternet.com.
