Red Sword-grass & Orange Underwing

Post by mikew »

Had a new moth (lifer) in the garden trap last night - Red Sword-grass.

I've spent some time this week in seemingly ideal conditions on Bickerton Hill looking up into Birch trees to no avail. Can anyone suggest where else to look for Orange Underwing?

Best Wishes, Mike

Hi Mike,

Assuming you're wanting Cheshire sites, then take a look through the previous locations they've been spotted in the county:

Neumann's / Ashton's Flashes or Taxal Moor look possible?

Good luck!

Hi Julian

Thanks. I'd looked at the previous sites. May try Delamere if the weather is suitable.
