Pseudoswammerdamia combinella

Post by mikew »

Poor numbers in general recently then one of a pair of breeding Robins had been entering the Robinson trap even when the light was left on.
I moved the trap to the front garden last night where there is some Blackthorn in the hedge and found a new moth for me - Pseudoswammerdamia combinella

Regards, Mike

I've often wondered how the numbers and variety of moths would differ if I moved the trap to the front of the house, instead of round the back. I haven't done it so far, as the front faces the road and is more open to neighbours, but I might give it a go!
