Ashworth's Rustic (Xestia ashworthi) ?

Post by Kevin »

Ashworth's Rustic (Xestia ashworthi) ?

I caught this moth at Llyn Celyn on July 30th 2011 and put it down as an early, but worn, Autumnal Rustic.

Recently, however, it has been suggested it might be an Ashworths Rustic (Xestia ashworthi) ?

Does anyone else have a view ?

Kevin.

Hi Kevin,

Despite being so worn, I think it has a lot of the ID features of Ashworths Rustic, so would probably agree to it being one.

I can't see it being Autumnal Rustic.

Steve
