The recent reduction in overnight temperatures produced the expected drop in both numbers and species, but still the odd highlight crops up. Last night (28/07/2022 - min. temp. 15.9 C) it was my first garden record of Dotted Clay. More common in the east of the county, but I had seen it several times in Delamere Forest. However, it was another species I was not really expecting in the garden.
