E-Moth Update - October 2011:

Please find attached the latest issue of E-moth (October 2011), the electronic update of the Moths Count project and National Moth Recording Scheme (NMRS). The draft programme for the second National Moth Recorders’ Meeting is included along with the usual project update.

You will need Adobe Reader to open the document (this can be downloaded for free from:- http://www.adobe.com/uk/ ).

E-moth April 2012:

Please find attached the latest issue of E-moth (April 2012), the electronic update of the Moths Count project and National Moth Recording Scheme (NMRS).

This edition includes an announcement of the date for the 3rd National Moth Recorders’ Meeting - 26th January 2013. There is also an update on the National Moth Recording Scheme, details about the development of some moth conservation projects along with local moth group announcements and further information about Moth Night 2012.

Interesting to read that the male clearwings often buzz off when they realise the pheromone lure isn't a real female. I wonder if using a fake female, something like a fly-fishing fly maybe, would make them stick around a bit longer?

In this bumper edition you’ll find information about the Moth auction that we are running to help fund the production and publication of the forthcoming Atlas of Britain and Ireland’s Larger Moths. There is the usual update on the NMRS and some interesting articles based on the talks presented at this year’s UK Moth Recorders’ Meeting.
