Pale Brindled Beauty (Phigalia pilosaria):

Pale Brindled Beauty (Phigalia pilosaria) is already on the wing in Cheshire, with one at Cheadle Hulme on 20th December 2011.

We had a single Pale Brindled Beauty at Marbury CP in late November!! Almost wish I'd put the trap back on the last couple of nights :D

I always thought that this species emerged in the New Year, although I don't often trap at this time of year so I may well be missing it. A quick look back at the records shows a few previously in December as well as November captures in Altrincham and Burwardsley.

After 12 deg C overnight a Pale Brindled Beauty was attracted to light trap in Elworth,Sandbach last night (25th December 2011).
