New Gelechiid Recording Scheme:

Following widely held discussions with Butterfly Conservation, leading national Microlepidopterists and others during 2011, Carolyn and Stephen Palmer have launched a national Gelechiid Recording Scheme. Details of the scheme can be found in the attached document.

Initially they will be concentrating on data collection but the plans include development of a website (see information in file). All data should, whenever possible, be submitted via your County Moth Recorder with a request to send it on to this scheme.

The document includes a few very provisional maps of four commonly recorded Gelechiid species to whet your appetites!

These maps already include the Cheshire records and I intend passing on updates annually.
