Unusual Powdered Quaker

Post by stevehind »

Unusual Powdered Quaker:

This Powdered Quaker (Orthosia gracilis) was taken at Shavington by Roger Benson on 29th April 2011. It looks as if the wing tips have been dipped in black ink. There is also a black streak along the costa towards the base which joins a longer black streak on the left wing. Shown with a more typical Powdered Quaker in the top photo.
