More Leaf-mines .........:

Hi Folks,

The Gowy Meadows are well and truly flooded at the moment - more so than I've ever seen them before - interesting, but nothing to do with moths! The tenuous link is that because there wasn't much birdlife to look at this morning, I managed some more leaf-mining - and some more query mines resulted - see attached. All were on the same tree, and those of you who know me will understand the futility of asking me what type of tree it was!

Anyways, if anyone has any ideas as to what any of them might be, I'd be happy to know.

On my wanderings over the weekend I've seen about 10 Anthophila fabriciana and a single Clepsis spectrana. Leaf mine-wise, I've managed precious little of consequence, though Phyllonorycter geniculella, Stigmella plagicolella, Phyllonorycter spinicolella and Ectoedemia angulifasciella are all uncommon enough on my patch to merit mention.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Looks like the gallery of Lyonetia clerkella and the folds of Callisto denticulella on Apple.

Regards,
Steve
