Wildlife Exchange Session - British Native Reptiles

Join Mandy Cartwright from Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust to discover more about our amazing UK reptiles.

About this Event
Did you know that we have 6 brilliant species of UK reptile? Unfortunately these often under-appreciated animals face a number of threats and conservationists are concerned that they may disappear from some areas of the UK altogether!

Mandy Cartwright from Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust will provide an insight into the biology of our native snakes & lizards and fill us in on the threats they are facing. Come along to find out why reptile recording is so important and discover what we could all be doing to help preserve them in our natural environment for the long term.

These evenings provide a brilliant opportunity to learn a bit more about UK native species from local experts. If you’re interested in meeting like-minded people in a relaxed environment, there’s also the chance to chat with conservationists, wildlife recorders and others to share experience, knowledge and ideas on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can all play a part in monitoring and protecting it.

What’s more…. There will also be tea, coffee and biscuits!

The event is hosted by hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo.
