Online Wildlife Exchange Session - The "New Normal"

Post by RachelMC »

Join RECORD staff as we fill you in on exciting updates from the past few months and introduce you to new initiatives and ways for anyone to get involved in wildlife recording.

Wed, 26 August 2020 19:00 – 20:30 BST

BOOK YOUR FREE PLACE

RECORD is the local environmental records centre for Cheshire, Wirral, Warrington and Halton. This Spring/Summer has been an unusual one for everyone, but despite restrictions we've been busily working away on some new projects, which we'd love to share with you all.

Whether you're new to recording or already support us through sending in records, join us to find out more about:
  • Our My Patch campaign encouraging both beginners and experienced recorders to make the most of local nature during lockdown
  • Our monitoring work at Chester Zoo nature reserve
  • A sneak peek at our exciting new data entry system which will replace our current system (RODIS)
  • Get involved in our new 'Forgotten Spaces' project - we're on the lookout for anyone keen to explore new areas and help us fill gaps in our coverage with wildlife information
The event is hosted on Zoom which is free to use in this context. You will receive a link to the session and joining instructions when you book your place. Whilst the event is free, booking is essential. Only 1 ticket is needed per household (as long as you all watch through the same device).

These evenings provide a brilliant opportunity to learn a bit more about UK native species from local experts. They are hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo. We are temporarily moving things online whilst face-to-face sessions aren't possible and hope you enjoy this new version of the events just as much!
