Online Wildlife Exchange Session: Local Wildlife Sites

Post by RachelMC »

We'd like to invite you to our October Online Wildlife Exchange Session.
Amelia Airey from Cheshire Wildlife Trust will be telling us more about Local Wildlife Sites.

When: Wednesday 28 October 7:00pm-8:30pm
How: Using free zoom software (more info below)

Book your free place

Local Wildlife Sites are areas which are locally important for wildlife conservation. We have around 1000 of these sites in our region, covering an amazing 5.75% of the total area of Cheshire! They're selected to help protect the most important, distinctive and threatened species and habitats, and are often highly valued by the local community.

At this event, we're delighted to be joined by Amelia Airey, Conservation Officer at Cheshire Wildlife Trust. We'll find out more about what local wildlife sites are, why they are so important and how they contribute to conservation within the wider landscape.

The event is hosted on Zoom which is free to use in this context. You will receive a link to the session when you book your place. Only 1 ticket is needed per household (as long as you all watch through the same device).

These evenings provide a brilliant opportunity to learn a bit more about UK native species from local experts. They are hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo. We are temporarily moving things online whilst face-to-face sessions aren't possible and hope you enjoy this new version of the events just as much!
