Online WEx session: The Mersey Forest

Post by RachelMC »

The Mersey Forest: transforming places with people and trees
Wednesday, 26th May 2021 19:00 – 20:30 BST

At this online talk we're excited to be joined by Clare Olver who will talk about the work of The Mersey Forest Partnership.

The Mersey Forest Partnership has been working at a landscape scale for over 25 years. As one of England’s Community Forests, the partnership has been transforming the landscapes and communities in and around our towns, planting nearly 10 million trees as a mosaic of habitats. As part of the talk, Clare will cover the importance of a personal connection to nature, including the development of the Natural Health Service.

The event is hosted on Zoom which is free to use in this context. You will receive a link to the session when you book your place. Only 1 ticket is needed per household (as long as you all watch through the same device).

These evenings provide a brilliant opportunity to learn a bit more about UK native species from local experts. They are hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo. We are temporarily moving things online whilst face-to-face sessions aren't possible and hope you enjoy this new version of the events just as much!

If you would like to sign up to the RECORD mailing list to hear about future events please click here.

This event has limited capacity - if you find that you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place via Eventbrite or email info@record-lrc.co.uk so that someone else can take your place.
