Online Wildlife Exchange Session - British Wading Birds
Wednesday 25th August 2021 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Come along to our August Online Wildlife Exchange Session. We'll be joined by Tony Parker, RECORD Trustee and Assistant Curator of Vertebrate Zoology at Liverpool World Museum, who will be sharing his expert knowledge of wading birds.
'Waders' are a vast and diverse group of birds, encompassing more easily recognised charismatic species such as Lapwings, Curlews and Avocets along with often more easily over-looked birds like plovers, sandpipers and snipes.

At this event, Tony will talk us through some identification top tips for UK wading bird species and fill us in on the best spots to see them in our region. We'll also be finding out more about the amazing ecology and behaviour of this group and learning how important recording is for their protection.

The event is hosted on Zoom which is free to use in this context. You will receive a link to the session when you book your place. Only one ticket is needed per household (as long as you all watch through the same device).

This event has limited capacity - if you find that you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place via Eventbrite or email info@record-lrc.co.uk so that someone else can take your place.

These evenings provide a brilliant opportunity to learn a bit more about UK native species from local experts. They are hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo. We are temporarily moving things online whilst face-to-face sessions aren't possible and hope you enjoy this new version of the events just as much!
