wow! whats the story deliberate introduction/pet trade?

have seen 'marmoratus' in France - I presume this is the same species? Is there any evidence of competition with native species ?
really quite intrigued with these had no idea they were in Macc...
Blimey, going out to check Spike Island for Fire Salamanders :)
