Pulling Mussels

So there I was, splashing round Hatchmere in my rubber suit, when I put my foot down into the soft mud and felt something large and smooth, which turned out to be this magnificent mussel. After a bit of rooting around I found a few more and selected this fine specimen for a quick photo-shoot on the bank. My fellow neoprene-freak, Paul, suggested it might be a Swan Mussel - can anyone confirm?
Anyway, it was flippin' lovely in a white wine sauce - one was enough (joking!)
