Mild Weather = Bats:

Hi everyone!

Our January check of Beeston Castle resulted in ....... drum roll please ....... one Lesser Horseshoe hanging out in the smaller cave! We wonder where Billy's (no mates) friend has gone to?

Our next outing will be Sunday 27th April and we'll be out at Marbury Country Park - always a cracking site to visit and we've had some good results in the bat boxes there over the last few years.

We're getting a lot of school & uniformed group requests in at the minute. W will never be able to do them all as Ged can only be in one place at a time but we'll do our best!

We are hoping to arrange an evening meeting sometime this month- we just need to pin a date down.

A few people have reported bat activity in the evenings over the last week or so, not surprising given the mild weather. If it carries on like this we'll be looking at a busy early spring!

Thanks!
