Rosemary Beetle

Post by bankst »

My poor lavender! Covered in these the last few days, I've so far 'transported' about thirty to pastures new. They've also appeared on rosemary and sage, but no records yet from parsley or thyme. It's the strikingly beautiful but rather sinister Rosemary Beetle, Chrysolina americana, a native of southern Europe rather than the Americas, and rather partial to most of the above-named plants the bugger!
