Hi all,
I've found a few micros I've never got round to identifying. Any help would be appreciated.
1) Not sure - 15th August
2) Dichrorampha sp? - 16th August
3) Bactra lancealana? - 16th August
4) Not sure - 16th August
5) Acleris laterana/comariana? - 5th August
6) Some sort of Tortrix? - 31st July
Many Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
The last one looks to me like Tachystola acroxantha.

Hi Alex,
I have a few suggestions for you to think about, but they are only suggestions.
1. Cochylimorpha straminea
2. agree with your ID, but not sure of species
3. I think you are correct
4. I think Leek Moth Acrolepiopsis assectella
5. agree, but dissection probably required
6. Sterling and Parsons mention a dark form of Rhomboid Tortrix, and I think that is what it is.
Some suggestions to think about anyway.
Mel.

Hi Mel,
Thanks for the ideas about the identifications.
I’ve had a look on google and in my books and unless anyone else has got another identification of number 4 or 6 I shall be calling them a Leek Moth and a Rhomboid Tortrix.
Many thanks,
Alex
