Micro ID help please

Post by JohnD »

Hi

I think this is Acrolepia autumnitella, but it does not have a raised tuft at the rear of the thorax, though this may have worn away. I'd be very grateful for comments/confirmation.

Many Thanks

John

Hi John

Have you considered Acrolepiopsis assectella Leek Moth, only on that species the the white triangular mark tends to be more obvious ?

Steve

Yes, I wondered about whether it might be the Leek moth (as this one is a little longer than A. autumnitella and does not have the raised tuft), but the black apical streak led me astray. I'll record it as Leek Moth.

Many Thanks

John
