Call For Records:

Hi All,

I'm hoping to update the distribution maps for the Orthoptera of Cheshire, so any unsubmitted records would be gratefully received. The following species have now been recorded in the Cheshire region:

Field Grasshopper
Meadow Grasshopper
Common Green Grasshopper
Mottled Grasshopper
Speckled Bush-cricket
Oak Bush-cricket
Bog Bush-cricket
Short-winged Conehead
Slender Groundhopper
Common Groundhopper
Mole Cricket

Paul,

Are you including ALL of the species groups (allied insects) normally associated with Orthoptera Recording Schemes (e.g. Grasshoppers & Crickets with Earwigs, Cockroaches, Stick Insects and Mantids) as per the UK Orthoptera Recording Scheme (see here: http://www.orthoptera.org.uk/) ??

Good question Steve!!

If there are records out there, I'm happy to look at them. Just need to ask Eric to push them through to me if any come in for verification.
