False Widow (Steatoda nobilis) Sightings?

Lots of folk getting hysterical over False Widow spiders (Steatoda nobilis) today in Greater Manchester. Lots of photos of alleged sightings on the Manchester Evening News website, some of normal Garden Cross spiders (Araneus diadematus) !

One woman on Gillbent Road, Cheadle Hulme has killed 30 of them she claims. Has anyone else seen any False Widows (not Garden Cross spiders lol) ??
