Vasates quadripedes on Silver Maple:
I found the galls of Vasates quadripedes on the leaves of a Silver Maple (Acer saccharinum) in the car-park at Court Hey Park, Roby Road, Huyton, Liverpool (the home of BioBank - the North Merseyside Local Biodiversity Record Centre) on Wednesday 24th September 2014. The record/identity has been confirmed by Peter Shirley (BPGS). The Grid Ref. is SJ41729014. We now need to find this gall in Cheshire.
