Those Pugs again

Last night (18th) I caught these Pugs. I think A is Common Pug but not sure about B. At first I thought it was just well worn but the paler patches seem remarkably symmetrical. I would be interested in what others think.

I abandoned trapping altogether during the late April/early May cold spell and have only caught a total of 13 moths from 10 nights this month. My highlights from May are:

09/05 Spectacle
11/05 Lime Hawk-moth
15/05 Rustic Shoulder-knot

Cheers, John

Hi John,

Both of your pugs look like Common. Small discal spots, tornal spots
and a pale wavy line parallel to the outer edge. Also a double angle
in the post meridian band (more noticable on the top moth the other is
more faded).

Regards
Greg

Thanks Greg, especially for giving the reasons for your ID. That really helps me in learning what to look out for.

Cheers, John
