I’ve only had the moth trap on 4 times so far in May. Recent highlights have been a Spectacle, a Peppered Moth and my first Least Black Arches. I just need a bit of help on confirming this pug and identifying this micro. Let’s hope that the weather improves.

Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

The Pug looks like an Oak-tree Pug.

Maybe Epinotia immundana for the micro?

Cheers

Actually no, scratch that, I think it's one of the difficult Pammene species. Could be suspectana?? Which would be new for Cheshire, but quite a few have been turning up to pheromone traps recently where they've never been recorded before so you never know. Probably just as likely to be argyrana or albuginana though - gen det job to be sure.

Now I'm thinking maybe E. immundana again... might be best to wait for another opinion on this one :D

Thanks Paul. It seems most likely that it is Epinotia immundana.
