Search Wildlife Records
Please be aware:
Our data comes from a variety of sources, including members of the public, amateur naturalists, conservation organisations and ecologists.
This means that, for the most part, RECORD does not ‘own’ the data, we just act as ‘agents’ for its management and distribution.
Anyone who accesses this data will need to agree to the relevent Data Access Terms and Conditions.
There are different ways to access our data depending on your needs:
- For all commercial enquiries (e.g. ecological consultancies and local authorities) please fill out our Commercial data search request form.
- If you are a student, researcher or other interested individual such as a local recorder, or work for a conservation organisation,
we’re normally able to provide data searches at a reduced cost or free. Please get in touch with us to discuss your needs.
- If you would like to gain a general idea of what has been recorded in our area use our NBN data search facility.
This fantastic tool allows you to see general distribution of species records across our area but does not show data at full resolution.
